You might be concerned about using an international coach because of the distance however Brendon has customers all over the world. Rest assured that while this lets you get rare access to an international level coach, it will not take away from the relationship or quality of advice you receive.
I found Brendan’s advice to be beneficial although I never actually met with him in person! His guidance allowed me to focus on specific training in the last 6 weeks or so which allowed me to complete the event [The Taupo 2011 Ironman] comfortably in 11.26, half an hour ahead of my 12 hour goal….despite the crap conditions!

When we say things are personalized, we mean it. A personalised programme is more than just a body weight, gender or Vo2 Max calculation and it’s certainly not a downloadable PDF! Ever seen a PDF give a pep talk when your legs are burning?
I started working with Brendon back in 2004 with focus on Ironman, his advice and guidance helped take 60mins of my previous best. Better still was his continued help over the years which lead to further 45mins reduction in my PB in Ironman 2008 which lead to a Kona World Champs qualification spot and an awesome race / experience over there.

Introducing Brendon!
Brendon Downey
Professional Ironman and Tri CoachLook no further for the best endurance coaching possible. Over the last 19 years Brendon has coached numerous people from beginners to elite athletes preparing for the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
Himself an elite Ironman and former NZ Tri Champion, he has a solid background as a high performance coach for Tri NZ, and also worked for the ITU from 2005 to 2007, helping to train over 30 professional full time Triathlon coaches.
Brendon has trained endurance athletes for all sorts of multi-sport events, and a few crazy well know grueling events like the Marathon des Sables through the Sahara, Death Valley cycle ride (where your shoes might literally melt!), the great wall of china run and the Coast to Coast to name a few.
